🌿 THE FLOURISHING ORGANISATION SERIES

Purpose-led organisations are living systems. Like healthy ecosystems, they need strong roots, diverse sources of nourishment and the ability to adapt as the seasons change.

That's why we have created The Flourishing Organisation Series, a regenerative learning series with purpose-led organisations, hosted at the beautiful St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace.

Some starter thoughts on regenerative financial leadership.

Hedgerows & Pollinators 🐝

Navigating organisational uncertainties and financial realities with collective wisdom and practical tools.

Leading a small charity through uncertainty can feel both deeply personal and relentlessly demanding. This reflective and participatory session offers leaders of micro and small charities a space to pause, reconnect and strengthen their confidence in navigating change together.

Grounded in the idea of collective wisdom, we’ll explore how emotional resilience, financial resilience and organisational resilience are deeply interconnected. Through conversation, shared learning and practical exercises, we’ll move from reacting to challenges towards anticipating and preparing for them with greater clarity, steadiness and calm.

Together, we’ll explore how numbers can become a source of insight rather than fear, how leadership can create stability during uncertain times, and how small, thoughtful actions can help organisations adapt and grow. Alongside practical strategies and tools, the session will create space for honest reflection, mutual support and the exchange of ideas across the sector.

Held in the unique setting of St Ethelburga’s Bedouin Peace Tent, expect a warm and nourishing environment. No shoes, no long presentations, just some flip charts, post-its and plenty of space for meaningful conversation and connection. A device for accessing course material via Wi-Fi is required.

The Oak & the Berries 🌳

Where Mission and Money Flourish Together

Every flourishing organisation needs strong foundations. In nature, the oak provides stability through every season. It is deeply rooted, resilient and dependable.

But thriving ecosystems don't rely on a single source of nourishment. They also produce berries—diverse, seasonal and abundant—creating opportunities for renewal and supporting life all around them.

Purpose-led organisations are no different.

In this practical and reflective workshop, strategy specialist Yasmin and financial resilience specialist Liz will introduce the Money–Mission Matrix to help you explore the balance between dependable income that anchors your core mission and complementary income streams that enable innovation, flexibility and greater impact.

Together we'll explore how to build a business model that is resilient, balanced and regenerative.

You'll leave with practical tools, fresh insights and greater confidence to steward your organisation's resources in ways that help both mission and money flourish together.

Join us in the beautiful surroundings of St Ethelburga's Peace Tent and discover how creating the right conditions today can support lasting impact tomorrow.

The Forest Floor 🍂

Honouring Endings, Making Space for Renewal

Every flourishing ecosystem depends not only on growth, but on letting go.

Leaves fall. Branches break. Trees return their nutrients to the forest floor, creating the rich soil from which new life emerges.

Purpose-led organisations are no different.

Projects come to an end. Funding changes. Services evolve. Sometimes the most courageous act of leadership is recognising what has served its purpose and creating space for what comes next.

Join us for a reflective and compassionate workshop exploring organisational endings through a regenerative lens.

Together we'll consider how to navigate change with care, make thoughtful decisions about what to stop, and honour the people, relationships and learning that have shaped your organisation's journey.

Through practical tools, shared conversation and guided reflection, we'll explore how endings can become opportunities for renewal.

You'll leave with greater confidence to approach difficult decisions with clarity, compassion and purpose, recognising that letting go is not the opposite of  flourishing, but an essential part of it.

"Awesome session
which took the
fear out of
financial planning"

Getting on top of and keeping on top of the numbers in a small charity can be challenging.

Small charity finance is technical, regulated and complicated. It can be, we are sometimes told, boring, and when the numbers don't go the right way, it can be anxiety provoking.

We understand the challenges small charities face when building financial sustainability. We explain finance in a simple, accessible way. We take the stress out of it all.
